What the heck is Oxjam?
Oxjam is Oxfam’s music festival that runs all through October with hundreds of events around the UK, all organised by volunteers who know and love their local music scene, all raising money to save lives around the world.
Since the first festival in 2006, Oxjam events throughout the UK have raised more than £1.5 million in total for Oxfam’s work. That’s enough to buy 13,000 emergen
cy shelters; 60,000 goats or 900 classrooms.
What is Oxjam Cardiff?

Cardiff has been Oxjammin’ since the start! Since 2006, this fine city has played host to musical tea parties, world record freestyle raps, buskathons, music quizzes, open mic nights and waxing hairy local legends, and much, much more. More recently the team of Oxjam volunteers in Cardiff have organised the ‘Oxjam Cardiff Takeover’ event which is now in its 4th year. The support that you lovely musicians, DJs, volunteers and gig-goers have given has been A-mazing and we couldn’t do it without you! 2012 is proving to be an almighty year with a stonking line up! Now is the time to TAKEOVER! Get involved. You’ll love it!
